Walk with a 360 camera. Get a 3D site.

Walk a site once with a 360 camera and get a measured 3D record of it. A 360 camera to 3D model workflow converts spherical or lens observations into perspective views before estimating cameras and training the reconstruction. The source footage and its timing remain part of the history.

TRACE’s OSV extraction cuts fixed perspective views from the camera lenses, with source identity and masks retained. Sharp seed views feed the map; camera groups preserve the connection to capture devices.

On the warehouse, 2,868 views cut from 360 footage joined 1,178 drone photos and 149 stills: 4,195 registered views in all.

Questions, answered.

Does TRACE train on a full 360 image?

No. The workflow converts 360 observations to flat perspective views before solving or training.

Does support for OSV mean every 360 camera is supported?

No. OSV is a specific supported source path. Camera format, calibration, source identity and usable coverage still need to pass their checks.
